Many schools have groups of Christian students who meet together for encouragement. The Prayer Spaces in Schools activities are a helpful tool for students to utilize in running lunch time activities. The spaces are easy for the students to set up and the interactive activities engage their peers.
Some Christian groups have set up Prayer Spaces in common areas in their school as a way of engaging in the wider school community. Spaces like ‘Big Questions’ Thankful Ribbons’ or ‘Leave Behind’ are particularly suited to open outdoor spaces.
As part of the schools leadership program, some schools give students the responsibility to create and run prayer spaces for younger students. This works particularly well when students are able to reflect their cultural heritage within the prayer spaces.
