Prayer Activity

Narnia: Hope

The Narnia series is a collation of Prayer spaces created by different schools.

Aslan, the good lion, offered his own life to save Edmund. He lay on the stone table and let the White Witch kill him – when Aslan died, the White Witch thought she’d won.

However, Aslan’s good magic was deeper and more powerful than the White Witch’s bad magic. Aslan came back to life – he was resurrected – and he brought hope back to the people and the creatures of Narnia.

(Christians believe that Jesus died on a cross, but came back to life again – was resurrected – 3 days later. This gives Christians hope.)

This activity invites pupils to think about hope – what is hope, and how do we find it?

It invites pupils to think of someone (maybe themselves, or someone they know) who is having a difficult time, and who needs hope.

This activity was created by one of the BeSpace teams based in Abingdon.
